The mix is “liquified crack cocaine” as he describes it, and dude left the mix relatively unmastered because he wanted the sound to be offensive.  His only request? That under NO circumstance you play this on laptop speakers. Instead “bump it in your car, house system, or take it to guitar center and plug it in to one of your systems if you’r poor.” Our advice? The ISH this week was a special one, not for the mere reason that it took place on a Tuesday night instead of our regular Wednesday night, but because it was a DJ Battle Royal sponsored Red Bull, an open bar, and none other than DJ CRAZE spinning and judging, arguably the best DJ in the world!  I’ve never seen Ghostbar as packed as it was, not even when Aoki or Mickey Avalon played.  The open bar definitely got everyone loosened up and above was our spinning DJ winner of the night!  Check out the rest of the photos HERE!

Our very special St. Patrick’s Day Party at The ISH with Marshall Barnes was amazing! So many people came out to celebrate our favorite drinking holiday and do it in style.  We had a special photobooth and Marshall Barnes’ set sent the party into overdrive at midnight and lasted all night long!  We hope to see everyone this Tuesday a special ISH, a huge Battle Royale event hosted by DJ Craze! OCELOT dominated The Ish last week!  Seriously the best time I’ve seen him DJ so far, the set was amazing!  Thanks to everyone for coming out and partying hard, hope you all make it this week when we take a step back in time to 1886 when BLAKE WARD, BANDIT and our very own WISHFM hold down the fort at ‘THE ISH.’ Check out the rest of the photos from last week HERE!

‘THE ISH’ last night definitely had its moments, from the technical difficulties when the sound cut off for a few minutes, to the insane crowd that surged after Grant Shapiro started spinning.  Steven Molina opened the night up by getting everyone in the mood, then around midnight came in LA-based DJ Shapiro to take it to the next level!  The Mavs/Lakers game brought a lot of different people out, and the diversity was awesome and everyone definitely danced the night away!  See the rest of the photos HERE!

Steve Aoki was back for his second time to ‘THE ISH’ this past Wednesday and he never fails to deliver something unforgettable every time.  I haven’t seen Ghostbar that packed full of people since the last time he was in town at the end of last year. Adding to all the NBA All-Star Week energy going around, he started the festivities around Dallas off the way you’d expect — hard, fast, and on point.  This was one of the best parties I’ve been to so far this year!  Check out the rest of the photos from the night HERE!

We brought on DJ Friendly Greg to open for our NOCTURNAL edition of ‘THE ISH‘ a couple weeks ago at the behest of another homey/DJ, Red Sean. Dude strolled into Ghostbar with a swagger and played an inspiring set that left everyone begging for more. We now can’t wait to get DJ Friendly Greg back at ‘THE ISH’ sometime in 2010 and we are excited to close out [Music Friday] for ’09 with his new mix, Where the H is BBS. Scope it below.

When I think about this week’s’ The ISH’ with STEVE AOKI & SCHWASSANOVA, one phrase comes to mind: drunkenly mesmerizing!  The entire bar was littered with waiters and waitresses serving free food and alcohol — all of course wearing Samsung gear — not to mention Samsung lights and logos everywhere!  They had people even standing around so you could try out the new phones!  SCHWASSANOVA killed it from 9 – midnight-ish, then STEVE AOKI came on with a fury.  I’ve never seen that many people dancing and screaming their asses off right in front of me!  The electricity in the room was fire, and it quickly spread as not a soul in the room wasn’t moving.  Even Audrina Patridge from The Hills on MTV and Billy Zane were in attendance, not to mention many others!  Aoki’s performance and presentation were without a doubt the best ISH to date, he crowd surfed, jumped from speakers and even littered young beautiful faces with bottle after bottle of champaign!  Hands down one of the best dance parties of the year, and it came so late but was so worth it! LAST BUT NOT LEAST, GOTTA GIVE MAJOR LOVE TO THE MAN BEHIND THE WHOLE EVENT — THE ONE AND ONLY WADE AKA WISHFM FOR PULLING OFF THE PARTY OF THE YEAR AND SOLIDIFYING THE LEGEND OF ‘THE ISH’!!!
