Since leaving the White House a month ago for Dallas, W sightings have flooded local news coverage. The SMU Gym. Preston Center. Church. You name it, the man has been there — allegedly. Last week, local hardware store “Elliot’s” issued an open letter aimed directly at the former-CEO of the USA inviting him to work there as an in-store greeter; for minimum wage nonetheless.

According to CNN.com, “Kyle Walters, president and CEO of Elliot’s Hardware, wrote in a letter published in The Dallas Morning News on Feb. 5 that the position of greeter would offer Bush several perks, including a flexible schedule to allow him to travel to Crawford, an opportunity for him to maintain his people skills, ample parking — including space for his security detail — and an employee discount for any projects Bush many have on the ‘Honey-Do’ list.” People skills! Gotta love it. W did make it out there this Saturday, and though he didn’t accept the position, he did walk away with some batteries, flashlights, and WD-40.

All the former living Presidents got together today for a power lunch at the White House and from the looks of it, they all shop at the same place: Brooks Brothers? Probably not but nevertheless a very interesting lunch I would have loved to attend. When asked what they would talk about, President Bush said “It’s going to be an interesting lunch I don’t know. I’m sure (Obama’s) going to ask us all questions, I would guess. If not, we’ll just share war stories.” President Clinton gave Obama a wink and said he’d personally share and discuss his experiences in the Oval Office…while former President Carter and Senior Bush were already passed out at the table and sleeping before lunch even started.
