MICKEY AVALON With Special Guest BEARDO – 11.14.2009

On Saturday I went to see Mickey Avalon/Beardo perform and though I’ve never even seen Mickey Avalon before, I was definitely impressed by not only him but the whole show! Beardo opened up for him to start the show around midnight. Never seen him before either, but he looks strangely similiar to the guy that was in that band with Cisco Adler before Swayze and they had a reality show on VH1 called The Rock Life, haha. Mickey came on and that’s when it got crazy. I’ve never seen Ghostbar so full before. When I was behind Mickey a few times to take a shot, I’d look at the crowd and it was faces as far as I could see. The two women on stage with him were doing theatrical dancing with some amazing choreography — not to mention they were hot too!

So Michael Phelps wins a record EIGHT gold medals in the Olympics and then decides to blaze one up a few months later while partying at the University of South Carolina. Apparently he was also dumb enought to let someone take a photo of him doing it. Regardless, the cat is out of the bag. You have to admire Mr. Phelps though for responding to these recently-surfaced photos by actually admitting his mistake and vowing not to do it again in the future. Usually, athletes that get caught with damning evidence in the face of any crime (doping? cheating? murder?) always respond by adamantly denying any wrongdoing at all. Let’s all give a good “Hear! Hear!” to Boy Wonder for manning up to his bong rip.

Amy Winehouse’s husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, is reportedly seeking a divorce from the singer and I have to say that is probably a good thing. I have never seen a fuglier couple in my entire life, and if they mated I’m not sure what would come out of her. Amy was quoted saying, ”I’ve finally escaped from hell,” Winehouse told the News of the World. “I’m in love again, and I don’t need drugs.
