So last week we made it out to the HOYOTOHO Videopera Release Party which had a great turnout. It was the first time in years I think I drank Vodka as thats all they had and I wont lie I liked it. As you will see below in the video these guys poured their heart and soul into every song. I really have to give mad love to Tim K. who put the video together and Calvin Bradley the lead singer as these guys really pulled off a stellar show. [EDGE FEST 2010] Phoenix & Metric + More

Woke up Saturday morning and had no idea I would be spending my entire day at Edge Fest with Dustin Hollywood for his birthday. To be honest with you compared with SXSW and Coachella and ACL, Edge Fest was very different. Imagine 2 stages on a soccer field and some hard core crowd surfers and mosh pit crazies except the tricky park is half of them were 10-12 years old. Nevertheless the shows were good and the weather turned out to be amazing. Metric and Phoenix were the highlight for me at the 2nd smaller stage. It was cool to watch them at Edge Fest since the crowds were smaller and there were lots of people just enjoying themselves. Good way to spend a random Saturday if you ask me.

Pretty Lights Granada Theater

Jonathan Zizzo is officially a part of the Hellox6 crew. Last night as a first task we headed to the Granada Theater to shoot Pretty Lights. We met with the band briefly backstage and Zizzo got a cool shot with our new sticker. The crowd was made up surprisingly of SMU kids which was weird, but all in all great show as these guys make a sick duo. As always a very special thanks to the Granada Theater for always being so hospitable. We love you.

[New Album] M.I.A

Just got word from our friends at Cornerstone [promotions] that M.I.A will be releasing their new album on June 29th. M.I.A unveiled the video to her brand new track Born Free yesterday. The music video is directed by Romain Gavras – famed for his music videos for the likes of The Last Shadow Puppets, Justice and DJ Mehdi. This video is insane and a must watch.

Florene SXSW HELLOX6 BACKYARD BLOWOUT

Sorry for the late post on this as the file was huge. Florene was by far one of my favorite bands this year at SXSW, and we were lucky enough to have them play at our backyard blowout party. I ran into the main guy at the Jessica 6 show in Denton right after SXSW, and I have to say he is mad cool. These guys are out of Denton and a must see if you are local.
