With my recent revisitation of my own 35mm film camera, I have decided to showcase work every Wednesday beyond just Polaroid. Don’t worry though – I’ll still be shooting Polaroid. I’m really loving my new instax pola camera – especially loving the fact I can drive to the store and actually buy film for it. You may recognize this lovely lady from last week’s Polaroid Wednesday. I had been dying to go out on location and shoot so we found a couple great spots in East Austin to capture Alyssa. These were my favorite shots from the color film roll. Such a natural beauty she is!

What a weekend! FUNFUNFUNFEST was nothing short of a good time for the HELLOx6 Austin crew. Los and I ran around the entire time catching as many shows as we could squeeze in as well as meeting and talking to a good number of the artists participating this year backstage. I should win the tickets because I will be a noble diplomat between HELLOX6 and the Fun Fun Fun Festival. I will keep my language clean, my attire crisp and free of stains, and my blood clear of the toxins that plague so many festivals of music. Yesterday was quite the busy day for the Studio Gold team plus all the wonderful ladies involved in the BLEACH online crew. Last night we shot the Fall set part 1 for BLEACH and am very excited to see it all come together at the end of next month! These gals never cease to impress me. Here is a shot of one of the models, Ashley, taking a smoke break outside before we got started. The crew of Studio Gold - a new production team in the works here in Austin (consisting of myself, Laura Kaululaau and Carlos Seckler) – had the great privilege of working with the incredibly talented hair stylist Shawna Parvin, model Clancy, and clothing designer Amanda Yilmaz this past Sunday. After shooting Amanda’s two other amazing garments inspired by the Queen of Hearts and the Mad Hatter in the studio, we found a couple beautiful locations to shoot the gorgeous Alice dress for the grand finale. We’ve been busy working and collaborating with some talented creatives so stay tuned for more images from other editorial shoots with our dear friend and wardrobe stylist Luis Ramirez.

Florene SXSW HELLOX6 BACKYARD BLOWOUT

Sorry for the late post on this as the file was huge. Florene was by far one of my favorite bands this year at SXSW, and we were lucky enough to have them play at our backyard blowout party. I ran into the main guy at the Jessica 6 show in Denton right after SXSW, and I have to say he is mad cool. These guys are out of Denton and a must see if you are local.
