This past Saturday marked the first annual SYP Dallas Gala held at the Dallas Contemporary. Nearly 250 young professionals showed up to show their support and party for a great cause. SYP which is short for The Society of Young Philanthropist was Founded in 2004 by Elishia Shokrian Bolour with a mission to offer an attractive and appealing opportunity for young professionals to contribute their resources to charitable causes and to ultimately instill the next generation of professionals with a sense of commitment to philanthropy. Saturdays Dallas event helped raise awareness for the Genesis Women’s Shelter pledging $25,000 to the organization which was created to provide quality safety and shelter to battered women and their children.
