Summer is upon us — and summer means three things to Gilberto: skirts, icy cold beer, and of course, white tennis shoes. The first two are self-explanatory:  girls are always sluttier (read: sexier) in minis and beer should only be served when the proverbial mountains turn blue. White sneaks? They are the one must-have trend that doesn’t warrant much consideration. Crisp, clean sneakers can complement anything and this footwear essential always looks absolutely at home.

(Ironically enough, as I started putting this silly post together the weather had been in the mid-90’s for over a week, my tan was kicking, and clean white sneaks seemed to have solidified their position on my feet for the next several months…then, in true Dallas fashion, we get hit with severe and incessant thunderstorms for the next 20 hours!)
