No Carrot For You, Bob

Just got the news that Bob’s Steak & Chop House has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. This revelation culminates a rough 2009 in which Bob’s owner Bob Sambol was indicted earlier this year for failing to repay a debt. In a bankruptcy filing, the Dallas-based company indicated it owes somewhere between $1 million to $10 million in liabilities to more than 100 creditors. The debts are classified as primarily business debts, according to the company’s Chapter 11 filing.

‘Tis truly a sad day for Dallas. Bob’s Steak & Chop House was Shok and my favorite dinner spot back in the eat-like-fat-pigs-days — aka last year. We had the coolest waitress (Kelly), the best seat in the house (second booth from the front), sexy bartenders (all of ‘em) and always had the same delicious appetizer (your biggest duck, please!). Maple glazed carrot, I salute you.
