George W made an unannounced visit to Baghdad on Sunday and during a routine, “We are making progress in the fight against terrorism/those who threaten our nation/pretty much everyone” speech yours truly had a shoe thrown at him. The assailant was an Iraqi journalist (go figure) who characterized the shoe-throwing as a “farewell kiss” to a “dog.” Hilarious. I even read somewhere that in theĀ Islamic culture, shoe-throwing is a sign of disrespect. (Really? You mean homeboy didn’t mean to throw the shoe as a way of applauding G-Dub and offering him an article of clothing out of good faith?). I think Mr. Almost Ex-President has a future as a world-class dodgeball player. Check the video below…
ThisĀ event can’t help but muster up thoughts of another famous shoe-throwing incident. As The International Man of Mystery proclaims: “I mean, who throws a shoe….honestly?” After the jump.

thank you for this. Now this guys is moving to Dallas where we can all throw shoes at him. Yay!
