I just don’t get it. I mean, is this really accepted? I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. Look I’ll be the first to admit I love Thom Browne’s eagerness to get men to start dressing better. Between him and Mad Men, we might actually have a shot of fusing ‘gentle’ back into ‘men.’ But this short pants, lil’ jacket thing has no place in the real world. Look at this poor guys face….he can’t believe how cold his ankles are. So here’s the doc’s advice: Buy his shirts, fly to Japan for the limited release 100th-anni Converse collaboration he is dropping, listen to his views on how a man should dress these days–but please, please do not think that you can put on your little brothers suit and walk around in public without looking ridiculous.
