7-11…You Bring Up and You Bring Me (d’Oh) So Down

So several weeks ago I walked into my favorite Bangladesh-run and Mexi-swept local neighborhood Boys’ Town 7-11 and my jaw dropped to find PBnJ sandwiches. “How could this be?” I thought to myself. Gross, delicious, gross, amazing. So I bought a couple. I have always been a fan of the (not so) fresh turkey sandwiches but this was too strange to be true. Got in my car, ripped open a package…and boom. Heaven. Over the course of the next couple of weeks I hit up 7-11 maybe 711 times at various hours of the day. Sometimes the bread was hard, sometimes super moist and fluffy. Sometimes they had grape jelly, sometimes the red kind. Sometimes there was barely any jelly at all. Didn’t matter. It was grub, and PBnJ is not lactose-y so I hit em up Compton style.

One day tho, and my worst fears came true. The PBnJ’s were gone. Like “poof” gone. I asked the Bangladeshy dude in front and he promised they were out and there was a chip mint (read: shipment) coming. They never came. Now here we are, three weeks later, and still no damn chip mints. I almost was convinced it was all a terrible dream until I remembered that I had snapped a photo of one to share my astonishment the first time I ever laid eyes. ‘Tis the only living proof….
